Rockstar has kept every GTA VI promise so far
A Vice analysis reviews the game's biggest promises - NPC density, animations, graphics - and concludes none have been scaled back.
Will Rockstar scale GTA VI back before launch? It has been the community’s recurring fear since the first trailer, and an analysis published by Vice concludes that, so far, the studio has kept all of its big promises.
The review focuses on three fronts. First, crowd density: the beach scene in the first trailer looked impossible to sustain, but the Extended Look confirmed streets and beaches full of NPCs with their own routines. Second, Rockstar’s promise to The New York Times of more lifelike characters, individually art-directed and backed by more than 600,000 animations. Third, the graphics, which far from being downgraded look even better than in the original trailers.
It is an editorial analysis, not an official confirmation, but it relies on material published by the studio itself. Two months from launch, the question is whether the final game will hold the level shown on PlayStation 5.
